Chef/Cafe Manager and Mountain Bike Centre Manager posts available.

Chef/Cafe Manager
40 hours per week

Main Purpose of post:
To prepare and cook all types of food which meets the daily requirements of visitors to the cafe.
To manage the team of kitchen and cafe staff.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Undertake all the cooking of all food at the cafe.
• Check prepared dishes for quality appearance and use by dates.
• Ensure kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned and maintained line with relevant food hygiene regulations including the hygienic disposal of waste.
• Maintain and monitor all levels of stock.
• Develop menu and specials board.
• Maintain own personal hygiene and professional appearance including wearing uniform, personal protective clothing and suitable footwear at all times.
  
• Managing a team, including recruitment, induction and training and development.
  
• Any other duties commensurate with the grading of post to support the smooth running of the cafe.

Person Specification:
Must have relevant catering experience which involves team leadership.

Basic Food Hygiene/Level 2 Award Food Safety and Catering, NVQ Food Preparation & Cooking Level 2.

Knowledge and understanding of nutritional requirements.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Flexible approach to the position, working hours and environment.

Bike Centre Manager

The Bike centre manager's role is to run the bike centre and meet targets set by the clients and liaise with teachers, leaders and managers.Brief and debrief groups effectively. Prepare resources for mountain bike skills courseDirectors.This will include all aspects of centre operation: Excellent customer service skills, local marketing, managing a small team of staff, recruitment,training and supporting a staff development.Ensuring staff adhere to safety regulations.Assess risk and act upon issues arising .Plan appropriate biking programmes for various customer groups to include schools, colleges, and corporate s and update.Deal with financial management of the centre, such as paying salaries, costing and invoicing of courses and keeping accounts up equipment and new products.

Person Specification:
Have proven management experience.

Must be able to show outstanding leadership qualities and the willingness to lead others by example and the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Excellent customer service skills with drive and enthusiasm to achieve.

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

Must have the ability to estabilish a rapport with a wide range of people.

Must be able to work under own initiative without supervision, have strong decision making skills and think on feet.

Must have strong budget and commercial management skills.

Must have strong IT Skills, Excel and web savvy.

Good organizational and administrative skills.

A friendly and diplomatic nature, high energy and stamina levels, good health and the ability to work under pressure.

Must be a team player and able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic business.
