COME AND JOIN US FOR ONE RIDE OR THE WHOLE SERIES
Purple Mountain will be holding an exciting new Mountain Biking Experience in Kielder Forest this winter.
The first THE NO FEAR KIELDER NIGHT RIDE of this season 26th February, rides will then take place once a month through out the winter/spring months.
For those who have never done Night Riding it offers a chance to try a completely new experience from daylight riding, and for those who already enjoy the night ride a chance to explore new routes and develop their skills.
With high powered off road lights you can turn night into day.
Plunge in to the darkness for an exhilarating ride.
Fantastic fun that will leave you buzzing.
Feel like you’re stealing time back from the dark winter nights.
Rides are aimed at intermeadiate riders and will include some sections of single track.
Starting at Purple Mountain Bike Centre near Kielder Castle at 7pm rides will last approximately 2 hours.
Bike hire will be available or you can bring your own.
Price £15 includes bike hire, ride and grub.
Bring your own lights or reserve a set of our high powered off road lights. £10 for hire.
We do plan to have a light company to come to one of the rides and offer demo sets of lights to try out. Date TBA.
Riders will need to dress for the occasion as winter nights in Kielder tend to be on the chilly side. Layers and lights are the way forward into the night.
Some of the routes will take in the Kielder Observatory and Skyspace, where a Night Sky expert will help you understand the science in science fiction in this awe inspiring location.
Riders will be fuelled with hot food ready for their warp speed descent
All rides will be led by a Purple Mountain Guide and include hot grub either en route or on return to Purple Mountain Centre at the Dukes Pantry.
