Kielder Calling, powered by Purple Mountain and supported by British Cycling is back for its second installment this summer. After a successful first year, the race is once again set in the heart of the stunning Kielder Forest, Northumberland over the bank holiday weekend 28-29th May 2011. Again it will feature some of the best first class, all weather single track available. A large mix of fast flowing singletrack mixed with forest fire road makes up the true leg burning but fun filled 7 mile course.
 
With a slightly reworked course and race format from last year, the Kielder Calling will see the 3hr junior/novice race and 6hr enduro held on the Saturday building up to the main event of the 12hr race on the Sunday. Categories extend from solo, pairs to teams of four across all races. With special backing from On One bikes we now have included a special category for On One riders, in the 12 hour solo, pairs and team events, and 6 hour solo and pairs. Come on and get On One for the Kielder Calling !
 
Alongside the weekends race action there will be a full event arena with demo bikes, trade stands with all the latest kit and tech support. With on site catering and BBQ over the weekend so you wont go hungry either. Camping facilities are available all weekend from the main campsite in the Kielder and is only a stones throw from the action. So head over to Kielder  Forest this May and make a fantastic racing weekend out of it with the whole family.
