Green Route – Easy

Ellerburn Cycle Trail: 4km /2.5miles. 1 Hour.  Adderstone Cycle Trail: 12.4km / 7.7miles. 2 hours

Suitable for: Families, inexperienced riders, Trailers, tagalongs, tandems

Trail and surface types: Mostly on wide unsurfaced fire roads

Gradients and technical trail features: Mostly flat with a few light gradients

Suggested fitness level: All levels

Blue Route – Moderate

12.8km / 8 miles. 2 Hours

Suitable for: Intermediate riders who are familiar with cycling and have a reasonable level of fitness

Trail and surface types: Mostly wide, unsurfaced Forest roads, with some sections of singletrack

Gradients and technical trail features: Begins with a moderately steep climb including some singletrack to the top of the valley.

Suggested fitness level: Moderate.

Red Route – Difficult

34.8km /22 miles. 4 Hours

Suitable for: experienced off road bikers

Trail and surface types: Mostly singletrack varying from smooth and quick to rugged and rocky.

Gradients and technical trail features: Includes some steep climbs and some steep technical descents, features drop offs, jumps, switch backs, burms

Suggested fitness level: High

Black Route – Severe

Suitable for: Expert/Highly experienced riders

Trail and surface types: Rocky, technical, slippery when wet

Gradients and technical trail features: Steep technical descents and tough stepped climbs, boardwalks, North Shore, drop offs, burms, switchbacks.

Suggested fitness level: High
