On the 17th March the Scott Contessa Team are heading over to Dalby Forest to run a series of long and short bike rides and test sessions alongside the team at Purple Mountain.
The Scott Contessa Team are a group of female riders of mix ages and bike skills who compete in Mountain Bike, Road and Cyclo-Cross racing. Riding is all about fun and taking in the trails.
With 50 miles of varied trails, from expert to beginner, Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors is the home of the UCI World Cup XC Race and a great destination for all riders.
With Purple Mountain’s knowledgeable guides on hand to take you round the trails you can just sit back and enjoy the ride without the worry of getting lost! You’ll be able to pick up top tips on kit, riding and nutrition.
On the day, you’ll also get the chance to try out the latest 2012 range of hardtail and full suspension Scott Mountain bikes, plus the new 29ers.
Scott UK’s very own Welsh Mountain Bike Champion Gabby Day is part of the Scott Contessa Team and will be there to give you advice on bikes that will best suit your riding style.
RIDE AND TEST LOOP DETAILS
Longer rides with Contessa Team riders begin at 10.30am and 1pm.
These will be 1.5 – 2 hours long, taking in the best of the local terrain and aimed at intermediate level riders. Taking in some great sites and sounds of the forest before heading back for a well earned lunch at Purple Mountain Cafe. Special deal available for riders.
These rides are only available for the ladies, but everyone else can take advantage of the Scott demo fleet thats’s available to test ride. Places on the Contessa Team rides are on a first come first served basis, so ladies call the shop and get booked on 01751 460011. (you do not need to book for the demo fleet rides)
SCOTT DEMO FLEET & TEST LOOP RIDES
For those wanting to test out demo bikes, there’s the Scott Test Loop that will run from 10am.
The Test Demo Loop will be rideable in about half an hour. No booking required, bikes will be available on a first come first served basis. Details of specific demo bikes available will be announced on our Facebook site http://www.facebook.com/purplemountain.dalby
Its a great opportunity to try before you buy……and if you place an order on the day we’ll give you a FREE helmet and Purple Mountain Goodie Bag, plus a place on a Purple Mountain Bike School Course, worth in excess of £100.

To take out a demo bike bike you will need a helmet, photo ID (driving licence or passport) and a valid credit card. These must be presented at the demo area prior to your ride, no exceptions will be allowed.
