Q: Are the trails free to use?
A: Yes. the only charge is the toll charged by the forestry to get in to the forest. £7 per car
Q: Where are you?
A: We are located just to the south of the main car park, toward Low Dalby Village.
Q: Do I need to book to hire bikes?
A: Booking isn’t compulsory, but we do advise it especially if you’re planning to come on a sunny weekend or in holiday periods.
Q: Do I have to pay up front when booking a bike?
A: Yes. You can either pay the full amount or leave a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the hire charges. Payment is currently taken off a credit/debit card over the phone.
Q: Do we get helmets with the hire bikes?
A: Yes Helmets are included at no extra cost
Q: Do we have to wear helmets on the trails?
A: Everyone who hires a bike from us is supplied with a helmet unless they can produce their own. We strongly suggest you wear them at all times, although there is no law against not wearing a helmet in the forest.
Q: What if I get a puncture on a hire bike?
A: All bikes are fitted with a spare tube, puncture repair kit, tyre levers and a mini pump. So the answer is.. you fix it.
Q: Do you hire kids bikes/tagalongs/trailers?
A: Yes, we have all of the above, if your child is over 12 months old we should have something that fits
Q: Do you sell off your old hire bikes, and if so when?
A: Yes. We usually have some bikes we are looking to replace with something shinier. September onwards is when we sell off most of our hire fleet, often the bikes are less than a year old. Grab yourself a bargain.
Q: What pedals are on the hire bikes, can I bring my own?
A: The hire bikes are fitted with basic flat pedals, we do have a few pairs of shimano spds we can fit upon request. Alternatively you are welcome to bring along your own pedals.
