Purple Mountain are offering a series of guided rides in wild locations around the local area and beyond. These WILD RIDES give you the opportunity to test yourself  on natural moorland trails and tracks. Not sure which way to go or what track you’re allowed to ride on…….well let us lead you.

For a true taste of adventure and some great wilderness riding, get away from the crowds and experience life after groomed singletrack, all with the added security of a Purple Mountain Guide to show you the way.

Rides are really sociable and a good way to get out and about with like minded people. We always take a breather en route and partake of a cuppa and cake, (well flapjack or biker bar ‘cos they don’t get squashed) . You do need some riding experience but it’s not necessary the be a ‘wild rider’ in every sense of the word. Come and join us.

OUR NEXT RIDE IS AROUND THE Langdale  AREA – Sunday 25th September

There’s a great variety of natural moorland trails to take up on the North York Moors around Cropton. We’ll ride in the spectacular  Rosedale and on the high level ridges above. Great views, a variety of wide tracks and some exciting singletrack are on offer on this Purple Mountain Wild Ride.

Ride will be suitable for most riders and last approximately 3-4 hours. The ride will include some single track and natural moorland trails. For more route information and start location contact the shop.

After your inspiring ride you’ll have the option to take lunch at the local pub. It’s a great time to swap tales of your ‘epic adventure’, and a chance to plan for more rides and activities with Purple Mountain.

Price £20 includes cuppa and cakes    Lunch optional extra £10-£15 

Bike hire is available but must be booked in advance we will deliver the bike to the start of ride.
